Umpires are always in high demand for Saturday games and other competition times. It is a very rewarding experience for a young player to take up umpiring duties, and it is a paid job too!
The Club has an experienced Umpire Co-ordinator to guide and support our youn umpires. Consider becoming an umpire for Helensburgh Netball Club in 2011!
Umpire Fees in 2011
- Fees for umpiring Netta games (8's, 9's): $8 per team (therefore $16 per umpire per game)
- Fees for umpiring Junior games (10's, 11's, 12's: $10 per umpire per game
- Fees for umpiring Intermediate, Cadet and Senior games: $15 per umpire per game
How to become an umpire in a few easy steps!
- Must be a registered member of Netball Illawarra;
- Purchase a Rule Book from Netball NSW online shop;
- Sit the Section 1 Theory Exam at Netball Australia Exam Centre;
- Attend a Level 1 Unpires Course. Check Netball NSW Umpires Calendar for up and coming courses;
- Attend training days organised at Helensburgh by our Umpire Co-ordinatore to practise your umpiring before the season begins;
- Read the Umpires Code of Conduct.
